1. Our Mission

Internary is committed to creating a welcoming, inclusive, and professional community for students, job seekers, companies, and educators. Our mission is to connect talented individuals with meaningful internship opportunities while fostering a respectful and supportive environment.

This Code of Conduct outlines the expectations for all members of our community and the standards we uphold to maintain an environment of mutual respect, professionalism, and integrity.

2. Core Values

  • Respect: We treat all community members with dignity and respect, regardless of background, experience, or identity.
  • Integrity: We conduct ourselves honestly and transparently in all interactions on the Platform.
  • Professionalism: We maintain professional standards in communication and conduct.
  • Inclusivity: We welcome and celebrate diverse perspectives, backgrounds, and experiences.
  • Accountability: We take responsibility for our actions and their impact on our community.
  • Safety: We prioritize the safety and well-being of all community members.

3. Expected Behavior

All users are expected to:

  • Be respectful and professional in all communications
  • Provide accurate and truthful information in profiles and applications
  • Honor your commitments and communicate promptly if circumstances change
  • Give constructive feedback and accept feedback gracefully
  • Respect the time and effort of others
  • Follow all applicable laws and regulations
  • Report violations or concerns to our support team
  • Support and uplift other community members

4. Unacceptable Behavior

The following behaviors are strictly prohibited on the Platform:

4.1 Harassment and Discrimination

  • Harassment based on gender, race, ethnicity, religion, sexual orientation, disability, age, or any other protected characteristic
  • Bullying, intimidation, or threats
  • Unwanted sexual advances or comments of a sexual nature
  • Persistent exclusion or marginalization
  • Creating a hostile environment for any individual or group

4.2 Dishonesty and Fraud

  • Providing false information on your profile or applications
  • Plagiarizing or copying content from others
  • Impersonating another person or organization
  • Creating fake accounts or engaging in fraudulent activity
  • Manipulating the application process or rankings
  • Making false promises or commitments

4.3 Harmful Content

  • Hate speech or content promoting discrimination
  • Violence, threats, or content glorifying violence
  • Sexual or exploitative content
  • Spam or misleading promotional content
  • Content that violates laws or regulations

4.4 Privacy Violations

  • Sharing another person's personal information without consent
  • Attempting to access others' accounts or private information
  • Recording or sharing conversations without permission
  • Violating confidentiality agreements

4.5 Platform Misuse

  • Using automated tools or bots to manipulate the Platform
  • Interfering with or disrupting Platform services
  • Hacking or attempting unauthorized access
  • Reverse engineering or decompiling Platform code
  • Spamming or sending unsolicited messages

5. Job Seeker Responsibilities

  • Provide accurate information about your qualifications and experience
  • Only apply for positions that genuinely interest you and for which you are qualified
  • Write genuine, original cover letters tailored to each position
  • Respond promptly to company communications and interview invitations
  • Be honest about your availability and commitment
  • Honor any offers or commitments you make to companies
  • Treat company representatives with professionalism and courtesy
  • Provide constructive feedback about your experience with companies

6. Company Responsibilities

  • Provide accurate, detailed information about your company and internship positions
  • Do not post duplicate, misleading, or exaggerated job descriptions
  • Treat all applicants fairly and without discrimination
  • Respect applicants' privacy and handle their data securely
  • Communicate promptly and professionally with applicants
  • Provide timely feedback on application status when possible
  • Honor your commitments and offers to interns
  • Provide a safe, respectful, and inclusive environment for interns
  • Comply with all labor laws and workplace safety regulations
  • Do not exploit or take advantage of interns

7. Reporting Violations

If you witness or experience a violation of this Code of Conduct, please report it immediately to our support team. We take all reports seriously and investigate promptly.

  • Using the report feature on user profiles or job postings
  • Contacting our support team through the Platform

We are committed to maintaining confidentiality and will not tolerate retaliation against those who report violations in good faith.

8. Enforcement and Consequences

Violations of this Code of Conduct may result in:

  • Warning: A notification about the violation and correction required
  • Suspension: Temporary restriction from accessing the Platform or posting content
  • Account Deactivation: Permanent removal from the Platform
  • Legal Action: In serious cases involving illegal activity, we may report to appropriate authorities

The severity of consequences depends on the nature and frequency of the violation. We aim to be fair and proportionate in our enforcement.

9. Appeals Process

If you believe an action taken against your account is unfair or in error, you may appeal by contacting our support team within 30 days. We will review your appeal and respond with our decision.

10. Scope of Conduct

This Code of Conduct applies to:

  • All interactions on the Internary Platform
  • Profile creation and content
  • Direct messages and communications with other users
  • Comments and feedback on jobs and companies
  • Interactions at Platform events or webinars (if applicable)

While we focus on Platform activities, we may investigate off-Platform conduct if it directly affects Platform safety or violates our policies.

12. Changes to This Code

We reserve the right to update this Code of Conduct to reflect evolving community needs and best practices. Significant changes will be communicated to all users, and continued use of the Platform constitutes acceptance of the updated Code.
